HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT RULES
Hazardous Waste means any waste which by reason of characteristics such as physical, chemical, biological, reactive, toxic, flammable, explosive or corrosive, causes danger or is likely to cause danger to health or environment, whether alone or in contact with other wastes or substances.
Hazardous Waste Management rules have been enforced for safe handling, collection, reception, treatment, transport, storage, reuse, recycling, recovery, pre-processing, utilisation including co-processing and disposal of hazardous wastes generated.
HAZARDOUS WASTE AUTHORIZATION
Hazardous Waste authorisation means permission for generation, handling, collection, reception, treatment, transport, storage, reuse, recycling, recovery, pre-processing, utilisation including co-processing and disposal of hazardous wastes.
ANNUAL RETURN HAZARDOUS WASTE
The annual return for Hazardous Waste shall contain information regarding quantity waste generated/ stored/ recycled/ processes/ utilize or disposed per annum and shall submit the same to the State Pollution Control Board/ Pollution Control Committee in Form 4, on or before the 30th June of every year following the financial year to which that return relates.
