  • Waste Collection Agreement
  • MCD License

What is the procedure of obtaining Authorization for Hazardous Waste Management?

Every applicant seeking to file the Hazardous waste application form to obtain the authorization for reprocessing or recycling of the hazardous waste specified in the Schedule IV needs to follow the steps –

  1. They have to file Form 5 along with the required documents.
  2. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is satisfied that the applicant is utilizing eco-friendly technologies, adequate technical capabilities, relevant equipment and requisite facilities for recycling or reprocessing or reusing of hazardous will grant the certificate of registration to the applicant.
  3. The application for the registration shall be disposed of by the Central Pollution Control Board within the timeframe of 120 days from the date of receiving such application complete in every manner.
  4. The CPCB finds the applicant has failed to comply with the provisions of the concerned Act, or any of the conditions of the registration or any rules made thereafter can suspend or cancel the registration issued.
  5. If the application or registration is cancelled, the applicant will be given a reasonable opportunity by the CPCB to be heard, by order, refuse to renew or grant the registration.
  6. On the grant of certificate of registration, the applicant must maintain the record of the hazardous wastes purchased and processed. Also, they need to file the annual returns of the activities of the preceding year in Form 6 to the State Pollution Control Board.
